[edit] Company History
VYRE has been around since 1997. The company was founded in Iceland, and was at that time named Northern Communication and Design (NCD). The system was at that time called DataWeb, and developed in ASP. In 1998, the system was rewritten in Java, and shortly afterwards the company (and the system) was renamed SALT. The company opened offices in New York and London in the year 2000. In 2001, the company (and the system) was renamed again, now to its final form, VYRE. In 2003, the system was rewritten and the architecture revised, to support scalable enterprise applications. In 2003, the company was acquired by the London based Offstump Ltd., digital asset management and digital video experts, and has been based in London since. Offstump Ltd. changed their name to VYRE Ltd. in November 2005.
Unify is VYREs main product which brings together the expertise of both companies managing a wide range of both structured and unstructured content in a single framework.
