Pagination in Unify is used in various portlets such as the item list portlet and the item search results portlet.

Usage

The pagination tab lets the user control whether they want to divide the page results into pages and how many items per page are returned. Note: the Items per page text box is only active if the Divide into pages tick box is checked.

Options

  • Divide into pages: check this box to tell the system to divide the results in to pages. This checkbox must be checked in order for the other settings to take effect
  • Items per page: set how many items should be returned on each page
  • Position of navigation bar: there are a number of options to set how and where the page navigation and pagination appears:
    • Above only: shows pagination facilities at the top of the returned list of items
    • Below only: shows pagination facilities below the returned list of items
    • Above and below: shows pagination facilities at the top and at the bottom of the returned list of items
    • Don't display it: does not show any pagination facilities, but will still list out the number of items set in the items per page field.
    • Show page form: shows a form field in to which the user can enter the page number they want to jump to (only applicable if pagination is displayed)
    • Show page first/last buttons: shows links that allow the user to jump to the first or last page of results (only applicable if pagination is displayed)
    • Show next/previous buttons: shows links that allow the user to jump to the next or previous page of results (only applicable if pagination is displayed)
    • Show page links: shows a list of page numbers (i.e 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 etc) that the user can click on to jump to that particular page (only applicable if pagination is displayed)
    • Show page number: display a page X of Y format to the user (only applicable if pagination is displayed)
